一， Overview of 2205 duplex stainless steel:
2205 duplex stainless steel is austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel (abbreviated as 2205 duplex steel) consisting of 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy. 2205 duplex stainless steel is a nitrogen-added duplex stainless steel with high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local resistance to stress corrosion. 2205 duplex steel is especially suitable for use in the temperature range of -50°F/+600°F. Alloys are also considered for applications outside this temperature range.
The main feature of 2205 duplex stainless steel is that the yield strength can reach 400-550MPa, which is twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel. This feature allows the designer to reduce the weight when designing the product, so the material can be saved. This alloy ratio is 316, 317L.
