U.S. photovoltaic recycling company Solarcycle has announced plans to build a solar glass recycling manufacturing plant in Polk County, Georgia. The plant will use recycled materials from decommissioned solar panels to make new solar glass. Solarcycle said it was the "first of its kind" in the United States. This will make Solarcycle one of the first U.S. producers of crystalline silicon photovoltaic solar glass. The plant is expected to invest $344 million, and the annual production of solar glass can meet the needs of 5GW to 6GW of photovoltaic power generation.
