U.S. solar capacity grew 29 percent in the second quarter of 2024 and 21 percent in the third quarter, contributing 64 percent of new generation. In recent years, supported by the Biden administration's Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and more green financing channels, U.S. solar power generation has hit record highs. As more solar projects are added to the grid across the country, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) recorded an increase in solar power generation last year, setting a record high.
