An international team of scientists led by the Ecole Polytechnique de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland has developed a solar panel based on a 2D/3D perovskite solar cell with a record-breaking 25.32% efficiency that the institute released in July 2023. "The new product we studied has a much larger surface area, reaching 27.22 square centimeters, and has an impressive conversion efficiency of 23.3%," Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin, lead author of the study, said in an interview.
