According to Uruguay's "La Repubblica" reported on July 27, UTE President Silvia Emaldi announced that the company will invest $100 million in a new 100 MW photovoltaic solar park, which is planned to start construction in 2025.
Emaldi said Uzbekistan has a wind power potential of 1,500 megawatts and a solar power potential of 250 megawatts, and it is necessary to increase solar power capacity. The new campus will be built in two locations: 25% in the Del Tigre Delta in SAN Jose Province and the remaining 75% in the north of the country.
