China Machinery and Equipment Engineering Co., LTD., a subsidiary of National Machinery Group, undertook a series of work such as topographic geological survey, design, equipment supply, civil construction, installation and commissioning of the project, and was also responsible for the two-year operation and maintenance of the power station, so as to achieve all-round integration and high standard service.
The project covers an area of 20 square kilometers, with an installed capacity of 2.1 GW. It adopts the world's advanced photovoltaic power generation technology and is equipped with nearly 4 million photovoltaic panels, 300,000 pile foundations, 30,000 sets of tracking brackets, more than 2,000 cleaning robots, 8,000 series inverters, 180 box-type transformers and more than 15,000 kilometers of cables. When the power station is completed and operational, it can supply electricity to 200,000 households, help ABU Dhabi reduce carbon emissions by 2.4 million tons per year, increase the proportion of clean energy in the UAE's total energy structure to more than 13%, and contribute to the sustainable development of the UAE's national energy economy.
