Brazil PV Installed Capacity of More Than 35GW, of Which Distributed Accounted for 70%

According to the statistics of the Brazilian solar Energy Association ABSOLAR, Brazil's installed solar power capacity has exceeded 35GW, of which 24.4GW is distributed, accounting for 70%, and 10.6GW is centralized, accounting for 30%.

At present, Brazil's total installed power generation capacity is 219.73GW, of which solar power accounts for 15.6%, second only to hydropower with an installed capacity of 110GW.

It is reported that there are eight solar photovoltaic module manufacturers in Brazil, as well as nine solar tracking holders and 10 photovoltaic inverter manufacturers, ABSOLAR asked the state to develop a competitive and fair industrial policy for the industry to lower the price of photovoltaic manufacturing and encourage innovation.
